Welcome! Our mission is to improve the quality and the quantity of ballroom dancing in the United States particularily in the Great Lakes Bay area of Michigan.
NOTICE: In 2015 our monthly dances will be held every third Friday of the month to avoid conflicts with other venues in the area.
We would like to thank everyone who was able attend the 2nd annual Autumn Serenade Ball and benefit to make it such a great success for the Johnny Burke Children's Foundation. We presented the foundation with a check for $1250! A big Thank You goes to our sponsors; Burt Watson Chevrolet, Leslie Toland with Chemical Bank Financial Advisors, Wolverine Bank, Mid-Michigan USA Dance Chapter #2043 and three anonymous donors.
Thanks goes to the people who did showcases; Richard and Denise Ciaravino who performed a Quickstep; Bob Budzyinski and Janet Bunch, a West Coast; Daryl Lyvere and Deb White, Night Club 2 Step; Steve and Kendra Reynolds, a Salsa; and Doug and Marj Deline, an Argentine Tango. Thanks for sharing your dancing talent with us.
Thanks goes to our professional dancers, Richard Tonizzo & Claire Hansen, who wowed us with their sensational performance and gave us all something to strive toward. The time you spent on the dance floor only whetted our appetite for more! And to Rick Popp for playing some great dance music again this year. We always look forward to dancing to some new songs and sometimes some really old ones!
And last, but far from least, we thank Denise and Rickard Ciaravino for their great organizational skills in putting this Event together, which includes all the time and hard work they put into finding our professional dancers, getting a location lined up, finding sponsors and countless other things we aren't aware of. Our enjoyable time was due to their diligence in providing us with an exceptional experience, Thank You.
Welcome to the home page of the USA Dance Mid-Michigan Chapter #2043 website. For those of you who are unfamiliar with USA Dance, we are a non-profit national organization that encourages self-expression through ballroom dancing, socially as well as competitively. We believe that our focus on ballroom dancing contributes to the mental and physical aspects of well-being, in short, it's good for your body, heart, mind and spirit!
USA DANCE chapters create dance opportunities for local citizens by organizing affordable social dances, dance lessons and workshops. Chapter members often present dance education and live demonstrations in nursing homes, retirement homes, hospitals, schools, shopping malls, and other public places, while striving to educate the public regarding the health and social benefits of ballroom dancing. The goal of each chapter is to serve the national mission on a grassroots level, as a leader and a motivation for ballroom dance activities in the community, colleges and schools.
